Survival Expert and Wilderness Guide Hazen Audel joined us in the studio for the voiceover recording of Primal Survivor Season 5. An adventurous and talented explorer, Hazen was a pleasure to work with and we were thrilled to help make the fifth season of this exciting TV show a reality. He has a wealth of knowledge about the natural world and we learned a lot just listening to him while he produced the episodes.
After Hazen got the attention of the world with his own travels to remote locations to live with indigenous tribes, Icon films picked up and developed this successful National Geographic series into what it is today. From the hard working camera crew and field audio technicians, to the series staff and post production team, the show is very well done and professionally produced, Icon is amazing to work with.
Because of travel restrictions, the Icon Films team was required to produce the ADR sessions captured here in Spokane all the way from the UK using remote access technologies. A daunting challenge for sure, but amazingly we were able to use our fiber internet connection and high speed webcast platform to deliver ultra low latency audio and video across the ocean in real time.
Working in the studio as our audio recording engineer was the talented Dylan Cochran. Using his vocal & music production background along with tried and true recording gear and our ultra quiet isolation booth, Dylan was able to deliver one of the highest quality narration recordings in season history. Studio Director Rob Miller managed the project, facilitated the isolation booth for Hazen, and coordinated behind the scenes work for the sessions. In true Hazen Audel fashion, we snapped a few barefoot photos in the studio on wrap day!
