Spokane-based Singer / Songwriter Jena Rhys joined us in the studio to record her original song entitled “Rescue”
Jena played the Grand Piano and sang for the primary track with additional vocals from Caleb and Chelsea. The instrumental track was produced in our mixing booth to accent the song. Thanks to Jena, Jeretta, Caleb, and Chelsea for making this music session a reality!
Jena sat down with us to discuss the inspiration for the song, watch it here:
Recording, mixing, mastering, and the music video were all done in-studio at Spokane Productions using Avid Pro Tools and Davinci Resolve.
Here is a photo gallery from the video.
Tech Specs: We used color RGB lights on the infinity wall to provide the blue background and to light Jena, we used Aputure 300d II lights with Fresnel lenses for a “live concert” look. The vocal booth footage was converted to classic black and white, giving a nice contrast to the colorful tones of the main studio. The video was captured with two BlackMagic Pocket 4k Cinema Cameras with vintage Canon lenses and a Sony a7sii with a Carl Zeiss 50mm f/1.4. We hope you enjoy the video!
